Student Volunteer Information
NAN is now accepting Student Volunteer Applications for this year’s conference in Nashville, Tennessee. Students will be helping with conference registration, workshop monitoring, CE scanning and various other activities.
To be a Student Volunteer, you must be an active Student Member of NAN with current dues status. Student Member status is reserved for pre-doctoral level or graduate level full-time students (i.e., postdoctoral fellows are not eligible). Membership applications can be obtained from the NAN website. Membership applicants are eligible for student volunteer positions.
If you are selected as a Student Volunteer, you will receive the following benefits in exchange for 12 to 14 hours of volunteer time:
- Free Conference registration
- Free workshop
- Free hotel accommodations for the nights of Wednesday, November 7 – Friday, November 9 (Rooms will be shared with other Student Volunteers)

When arranging hotel accommodations, please indicate that you are attending the NAN Annual Conference to receive the negotiated rate of $234 plus tax per night for single/double occupancy.

Reservation Deposit and Confirmation
A deposit equal to one night’s stay is required to hold each guest’s reservation. Such deposit shall serve to confirm the reservation for the dates indicated, and, upon check-in, shall be applied to the first and/or final night of the reserved stay. These deposits paid by individuals are refundable if notice is received at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to arrival and a cancellation number is obtained. All deposits shall be charged at the time the reservation is made.

Nashville International Airport (BNA)
Travel Distance: approximately 10 minutes
Taxi Information:
From the airport, the meter starts at $7.00 and the rate is $2.10 per mile. There is a flat rate of $25.00 to the downtown area and the Opryland Hotel area, plus an additional passenger charge of $1.00 when accompanying original passenger and proceeding to same destination.
Airport Shuttle:
Gaylord Opryland offers daily roundtrip shuttle service from the Nashville International Airport to the Hotel. Upon your arrival at the airport, you can find the Gaylord Opryland Welcome Desk on the lower level of the airport between the two escalators. An agent will assist you with your travel needs and ticket purchase.
The Hotel's shuttle is located immediately to the left as you exit the front door of the lower level of the airport.

Sedan & Limousine Service:
The Sedan and Limousine Service provides rides for airport arrivals and departures, as well as to downtown Nashville. Hotel Parking:
Parking at Opryland Hotel is $18 per day for overnight self-parking and $26 per day for overnight valet parking. Guests with a handicapped placard or license plate may use valet parking for the self-parking price.
