National Academy of Neuropsychology
29th Annual Conference
November 11-14, 2009
Sheraton New Orleans, New Orleans, Louisiana
Make plans to join us for what promises to be a very educational and enlightening conference at the New Orleans Sheraton, November 11-14, 2009. This year’s general theme is forensic neuropsychology as a vehicle to promote the science and accountability that forms the foundation for clinical practice. We continue the recent tradition of a forensic pre-conference on Tuesday November 10, and training tracks that have come to be associated with NAN conferences (e.g., general adult, pediatric, aging). Additionally, we are developing a series of sessions that attendees pursuing board certification in neuropsychology should find helpful (e.g., neuroanatomy, psychometrics, case conceptualization).
Our 2009 Keynote Speaker is Todd Feinberg, MD, Associate Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Chief of the Yarmon Neurobehavior and Alzheimer's Disease Center, Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City; and, Dr. Tony Puente will return with a very informative CPT update. Look for future communications on the 2009 program—providing highlights on events and sessions, as well as invited speakers, many of whom you will undoubtedly recognize from scientific literature.

Of course, let’s not forget the excitement that New Orleans inspires. The Sheraton is within minutes from the French Quarter and the infamous Bourbon Street . For those of you (us) who may prefer more family oriented activities, we are compiling an interesting list of local attractions. You may decide to bring your family and spend a couple of extra days at the conference hotel.
Take care, and don’t forget to block out November 11-14, 2009 in your calendar and plan to join us in New Orleans. See you there.
