Neuropsychology Program/Resource Guide

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has recently released a program and resource guide for the practice of neuropsychology.

The document is the result of three years of work by an expert panel of practicing VA neuropsychologists involved in administrative, clinial, training and research activities. The Guide incorporates findings from two national surveys of VA Chiefs of Psychology Service and neuropsychological practitioners and addresses various aspects of the administrative and practice sides to a neuropsychology program. Included is resource information useful in program administration and quality improvement activity, as well as practical information to guide clinical practice and clinical training. Clinical algorithms, discussion of practice patterns, and resources for providers, patients and caregivers make up the remainder of this guide.

Copies of the Neuropsychology Program/Resource Guide are available at all VA Medical System Libraries and most VA Psychology Services. The document may be freely copied as long as appropriate acknowledgement to the VA is given.
