Spectrum Health Medical Group in Grand Rapids, Michigan has an opening for a neuropsychologist. Responsibilities include conducting outpatient neuropsychological evaluations targeting a primarily neurological patient population. Typical referral problems include memory disorders, neurodegenerative disorders, dementia, head injury, stroke, mood issues, and pre and post-neurosurgery rehabilitation issues. Additionally, limited inpatient consults are available to address patients with acute neurocognitive impairment, to assist with mental capacity issues, and to aid in discharge recommendations. Opportunities exist to conduct research, as well as to engage in individual psychotherapy. Board certification is expected and assistance with the board certification process is provided.
Licensed or license eligible with a doctoral degree in psychology from a university accredited by the American Psychological Association. Must have completed a 2 year residency in clinical neuropsychology and be board eligible.
