The Neuropsychology Department at Casa Colina Rehabilitation Hospital (Pomona, CA, USA) is recruiting for a full-time Neuropsychologist. The successful candidate will serve as Staff Neuropsychologist at the full-time professional level and work primarily as an interdisciplinary team member of our post-acute traumatic brain injury unit, the Transitional Living Center (TLC). The successful applicant will work closely with 2 Neuropsychologists at TLC and a burgeoning Neuropsychology Division.
The successful applicant's main professional activities will include providing psychological and neuropsychological assesment and treatment to the TLC patients/clients. We are looking for a professional to apply neuropsychological principles in the following major areas: clinical research, training, supervision, and consultation. The successful applicant will demonstrate knowledge of growth and development and the ability to assess and interpret age-specific data and incorporate this into patient care.
Candidates must have a breadth of neuropsychological experience in adult cases, although experience in pediatrics is desired as well. This is primarily a clinical position, but opportunities exist for the pursuit of clinically-based research. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in clinical psychology or clinical neuropsychology from an APA-accredited institution and have completed post-doctoral training in neuropsychology. The candidate must be licensed or license-eligible in the State of California and be board certified (or eligible) (ABPP preferred) in clinical neuropsychology according to the Houston Conference Training Guidelines. One year professional experience in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation setting preferred. The ability to conduct Spanish-speaking evaluations is highly desirable, although not a requirement.
Duties may include (but are not limited to): assessment, psychoeducation, individual, family, and group psychotherapy, and interdisciplinary consultation and co-treatment.
