The Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA is recruiting for a full-time Clinical Neuropsychologist to work primarily in an acute, inpatient Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) neurorehabilitation program. Candidates would be required to follow patients throughout their inpatient admission by providing serial neurobehavioral assessments, baseline neuropsychological evaluations as appropriate, and support and education to patients and their families. Outpatient clinic evaluations are also required.
The department currently has a large psychology staff with divisions in acquired brain injury (inpatient and outpatient), spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, and pain management The department also has an APPCN Fellowship (2 fellows), and candidates would be responsible for supervising and mentoring postdoctoral fellows as well as practicum students from local Universities. Research involvement in conjunction with the Crawford Research Institute is also available and encouraged. Experience with working on interdisciplinary inpatient treatment teams is preferred.
Position requires a PhD or PsyD from an APA approved program in Clinical Psychology, completion of an APA approved internship program and fellowship training in Clinical Neuropsychology or Rehabilitation Psychology. Georgia licensure or eligibility required. Salary and benefits are highly competitive.
