Transitions Professional Center, LLC in Portland, Oregon invites applicants to apply for a full-time neuropsychology position in a growing privately-owned practice offering comprehensive psychology services for adult individuals (as well as couples and families) who are enduring chronic illness, life-threatening illness, end-of-life issues, loss and bereavement. Our current neuropsychology program is part-time and offers services to a wide range of individuals, including those with diagnosis of dementia, stroke, and traumatic brain injury.
Transitions Professional Center is comprised of four integrated departments in various developmental stages - clinical, assessment, research, training & education.
Applicants should have a doctorate in clinical psychology, have obtained board certification or be eligible for board certification in neuropsychology, and have a strong training background in at least one of the following areas: geropsychology, movement disorders, palliative care, loss and bereavement. It is essential for applicants to demonstrate interest in program development and an interest in training practicum and postdoctoral level trainees.
Candidates should have training in medical settings. Many of Transitions Professional Center's patients are older adults and have complicated medical histories.
Transitions Professional Center is a private practice that is devoted to regular collaboration with other medical providers in efforts to provide patient-centered care to best treat the whole person. Training with the following patient medical populations would be useful: older adults, veterans, individuals with hematological and oncological diagnoses, cardiac and vascular conditions, and traumatic brain injury.
