Position Description: Licensed psychologist specializing in adult neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology.

The Center for Neurorehabilitation Services (CNS) in Fort Collins, Colorado is pleased to announce an opening for a full-time neuropsychologist position. CNS is a privately owned, interdisciplinary, comprehensive, outpatient program that provides rehabilitation services for a variety of neurobehavioral syndromes. TEAM CNS has been serving the community for over 25 years. We are located in the heart of beautiful Fort Collins, home to Colorado State University. Our city boasts the progressive nature of the university, excellent schools, and all sorts of outdoor recreation. For more information, visit www.brainrecov.com. CNS is certified by Medicare as a Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility (CORF). CNS is also a Partner Facility with the National MS Society serving Northern and Northeastern Colorado and Southern Wyoming. We are also a Partner Facility with the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado

The position requires Ph.D. or Psy. D. degree from an APA-accredited program and eligibility for licensure in Colorado is required. The candidate should demonstrate training and experience to eventually be eligible to pursue board certification in rehabilitation psychology via ABPP and/or in neuropsychology by ABPP or ABN.

The successful candidate is expected to participate in and/or supervise neuropsychological assessments (we have a testing technician on staff), and to guide the counseling team in their provision of individual/group psychotherapy to patients and families dealing with psychological, medical, disability, and rehabilitation issues. The primary patient populations served include TBI, MS, CVA and other cerebrovascular disorders, dementia, epilepsy, spinal cord injury and brain tumors. The age of our patients ranges from late adolescence to the elderly, although there are opportunities for pediatrics if the candidate is qualified.

The focus of our program is on Neurorehabilitation, and a primary interest and passion of the candidate must be to integrate the results of neuropsychological testing into the rehabilitation process. This candidate will work closely with neurology, physiatry and other transdisciplinary team members. We are looking for a person who is outgoing, confident, hard-working, team minded, flexible and detail-oriented. There will be eventual expectations to develop and monitor interdisciplinary treatment plans that are neuropsychologically oriented. This position could develop into an increased role in program development/management.

The application should include a curriculum vita, a letter of interest highlighting key educational and career experiences relevant to this position, three letters of reference, and two sample neuropsychological reports (fully redacted to observe confidentiality guidelines) that illustrate clinical experience that would qualify the applicant for this position. The reports should provide evidence of expertise in neuropsychological testing and interpretation, implications of results for the patient's functional activities of daily living, and rehabilitation recommendations. Mentoring will be provided upon hiring.
