Job Description Opening for a Clinical Neuropsychologist- Neurology Group Practice
Associated Neurologists of Danbury, a large, well-established neurology practice in southwestern Connecticut, is seeking applications for a full time Clinical Neuropsychologist. Responsibilities include providing neuropsychological assessment services in our outpatient Neuropsychology Department. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the assessment of neurological disorders, including dementias, stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders, and TBI. Although the clinical focus is primarily on adults, there is opportunity for pediatric work for interested candidates. Candidates with an interest and experience in cognitive rehabilitation are encouraged to apply. This is a dynamic neuropsychology department that affords both the opportunity to see complex, rare neurological syndromes typically seen in large, University- based Medical Centers (e.g. recent cases have included Hashimoto's encephalopathy and corticobasal degeneration) and the autonomy and flexibility of a small, private practice. Associated Neurologists is the area's largest neurology practice with offices in Danbury, New Milford, Southbury, and Waterbury, Connecticut. We are a growing and progressive practice offering sate of the art electronic medical records and current treatment protocols in both medicine and psychology. Our practice is comprised of 3 neuropsychologists, 10 neurologists, 3 physician assistants, 2 clinical psychologists, Physical Therapists and Physical therapist assistants, infusion nurses, EEG technologists, and Clinical Research coordinators. We also have a large billing and support staff. Danbury, CT Is located within an hour drive of New York City.

Applicants should be licensed or license-eligible in Connecticut. Requirements include a Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program in clinical psychology or neuropsychology and completion of a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology. In addition to these minimal requirements, the successful candidate will be an energetic, flexible, and personable individual who is enthusiastic about developing innovative approaches to the practice of neurology in the changing health care environment. Board-certified or board-eligible applicants are preferred. We welcome applications from early-career neuropsychologists. Applicants with the ability to conduct assessments with Spanish-speaking individuals are strongly encouraged to apply.
