Immediate opening for a full-time clinical neuropsychologist in a well-established, rapidly-expanding private practice in the Des Moines Metropolitan area (pop.500,000). Two large hospital systems serve as primary referral sources. This professional will join a clinical neuropsychologist practicing in the Des Moines area for 15 years. Scope of responsibilities includes outpatient neuropsychological evaluations for adults coping with the effects of conditions such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, dementia, epilepsy, psychiatric illness, and ADHD. The clinic schedule affords ample time for educating patients and family members concerning the practical implications of assessment findings and generating concise exam reports. Minimal professional time is spent in activities such as billing, scheduling, and/or seeking preauthorization for exams (the clinic has a full-time office manager). Candidates must be: 1) license-eligible in Iowa 2) a graduate from an APA-approved program in clinical psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology 3) eligible for board certification in clinical neuropsychology.
