Indianapolis is the 12th largest city in the nation, and is the state capitol of Indiana. It is consistently ranked as one of the cleanest and safest cities in the country. The cost of living is below the national average and despite tremendous growth, the city remains relatively unspoiled. The city enjoys a healthy arts community with internationally recognized orchestra and ballet companies and is home to the world's largest children's museum. While Indianapolis may be best known for auto racing, it is also now recognized as an amateur sports center and the home of professional football, men's and women's basketball, baseball, soccer and hockey teams.
