Job Description The SHARE Initiative Military Program at Shepherd Center in Atlanta provides rehabilitation and community-based care to U.S. military service members who have served post-9/11 and have sustained a mild brain injury and are experiencing comorbid PTSD, depression, and other anxiety related disorders. The program utilizes Shepherd's full rehabilitation continuum of evaluation and treatment services for those who have sustained brain injury/blast injury and may have spinal cord injury.

Responsibilities for this Licensed Psychologist include providing individual/family/group counseling and psychological assessment to veterans as part of a multidisciplinary program focused on psychiatric and brain injury rehabilitation. In addition to providing clinical services, this individual will work closely with a rehabilitation treatment team and collaborate on treatment planning, provide education to the team/clients, supervise a master level counselor, and assist with program development.

Qualifications:

- Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-approved program. Minimum of 3 years experience in clinical/counseling psychology; training and experience in the treatment of mental health disorders, including providing empirically validated treatments for PTSD.

- Experience treating PTSD, substance use issues and familiarity in working with military personnel and individuals with brain injuries preferred

- Licensed as a Psychologist in the state of Georgia or licensed in another state with eligibility for licensure in Georgia.
