Position Neuropsychologist

Job Description The Department of Neurology, Baylor College of Medicine seeks an applicant for a full-time clinical neuropsychologist position. Responsibilities include conduct of clinical and research neuropsychological evaluations within the Neuropsychology Section. The section employs three neuropsychologists who provide services for the assessment of cognition and neuropsychiatric functioning in the context of dementia, movement disorders, including deep brain stimulation, cerebrovascular disease, mental health disorders, attention deficit disorders, traumatic brain injury, and epilepsy. Evaluations are conducted primarily with adults in an outpatient setting but these factors are subject to change with the addition of a hospital facility. Responsibilities also include supervision of trainees and psychometrics and contributing to the educational mission of the section. A broad range of collaborative research opportunities is also available.

Requirements include Texas psychologist licensure, a Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA/CPA-accredited program in clinical psychology, successful completion of an APA/CPA-accredited internship, and completion of a two year clinical neuropsychology postdoctoral fellowship. Board certification or eligibility by ABCN is preferred. Applicants should have prior experience working in an academic setting with interdisciplinary teams, evaluating neurologic patients. Excellent written/oral skills are also required. Spanish-speaking neuropsychologists are encouraged to apply. The level of appointment will be commensurate with training and experience and could be tenure-track or non-tenure track.
