The Department of Neurology, School of Medicine, at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is seeking a full time clinical neuropsychologist. The successful candidate will provide neuropsychological evaluations, participate in clinically-focused research, and contribute to the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. Our patient population is primarily adult and present with a wide variety of neurological and/or medical conditions including: epilepsy, movement disorders, dementia, multiple sclerosis, lupus, traumatic brain injury, and stroke. The neuropsychologists are valued members of a multidisciplinary team providing pre- and post- surgical evaluations.
Minimum requirements are a doctoral degree in psychology and completion of an internship and post-doctoral training in neuropsychology. This portion is anticipated at the Assistant Professor rank, but candidates with exceptional qualifications may be considered for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. Eligibility to be licensed in Texas is required, and applicants who are board certified or board eligible are preferred.
