Position Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Position

Job Description The Center for Neuropsychological Services (CNS) at Kaiser Permanente in Roseville, California has one full-time postdoctoral residency position available in clinical neuropsychology. This is a two year position with the second year contingent on satisfactory completion of the first. The start date is September 2016. We provide training in a busy outpatient clinic using both comprehensive and abbreviated neuropsychological assessment battery for a varied patient population (adult and pediatric). Referral questions may include cognitive status subsequent to head injury, stroke, cancer treatment, genetic conditions, and other CNS insults or degenerative diseases (e.g. Alzheimer's disease). In addition, residents have a unique opportunity to participate in the Functional Neuroscience Movement Disorder Program which preforms surgical interventions for patients with primarily Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, and dystonia. Residents perform pre-surgical evaluations, attend 8-9 neuroscience team meetings per year, and may observe neurosurgery if desired. Residents may also have the opportunity to participate in our busy concussion sports program which provides baseline and post concussive management for youth athletes who are Kaiser Members. Training also includes regular didactics with Kaiser Inpatient rehabilitation unit in Vallejo and with the University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. This is primarily a clinical position. The current stipend is approximately $20,000+ plus medical, dental, and vision care. Completion of an APA-accredited training program and internship is required.
