Position Pediatric Neuropsychologist
Location Greenwood, SC
Job Description The Greenwood Genetic Center has an immediate opening for a full time Pediatric Neuropsychologist or Pediatric School Psychologist. Primary duties include the following:

Clinical Duties
Clinical responsibilities consist primarily of neuropsychological evaluations of children and occasionally adults with various inherited metabolic diseases that can potentially impact neurological, psychiatric, and developmental functioning. The evaluation also includes parent/caregiver education about the patient's challenges and provides subsequent triage to a specialty treatment service or referral outside of the GGC. If needed, communication with the school is provided, primarily in the form of educational advocacy and translating test results to school-based services.

Diagnostic evaluations include a semi-structured interview, as well as administration, scoring and interpretation of questionnaires for the child, parents, and teacher (as needed). Neuropsychological and educational assessments are comprehensive and involve intake, neuropsychological and educational evaluation, feedback to family, initial and follow-up contact with school, and a detailed written report.

Additional Duties
Collaboration with Metabolic Treatment Program colleagues to generate clinically-based research to be presented at scientific meetings and submitted for peer-review publication will be ongoing. Attendance at monthly team meetings, as well as the multidisciplinary, center-wide case conferences is expected.

Job Requirements
Applicants must have a PhD or PsyD degree from an APA - accredited program in clinical psychology, neuropsychology or a related field, and be licensed or license-eligible in the state of South Carolina. Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated professional attitude with ability to interface with senior management, clinicians and staff will be needed. Travel throughout South Carolina will be required.
