We are delighted to announce an opening for a 2-3 year post-doctoral fellowship in the Wisconsin ADRC and GRECC. This opportunity is for a combined research and clinical experience. The research focus is on presymptomatic and early symptomatic Alzheimer's Disease (AD) utilizing the longitudinal cohorts from the ADRC comprised of serial neuropsychological, biomarker (CSF and blood markers), genetic and neuroimaging (e.g. tau PET, amyloid PET, and advanced MRI including functional imaging) investigations in addition to detailed lifestyle and medical histories. The fellow should have sufficient scientific background in experimental design and statistical analysis to contribute to ongoing studies (including writing manuscripts for publication) and devise new studies.

Supervised clinical neuropsychological experiences sufficient for licensure take place at the VA Hospital and UWHC Memory Disorders Clinics, where the focus is geriatric cognitive disorders. Didactic experiences are plentiful and include the ADRC seminar series, Neuropsychology didactics and journal club, Neurology, Neurosurgery Neuroradiology, Medicine and Psychiatry grand rounds, Brain cutting, and Medical physics seminars, etc.

The fellow shall have completed a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with Neuropsychology speciality training at the graduate school and internship level. The fellow shoudl already have some experience in the neuropsychology of aging and dementia during graduate and or internship training. The position is ideally suited for candidates who envision a clinical-research oriented career.

The application deadline is February 11, 2016 and the position start date is flexible between July and September 2016. Salary is $46K in year 1 depending on experience. The fellow shall be a U.S. citizen who is eligible for hire through the VA.
