Position Clinical Neuropsychologist Needed in North Florida

Job Description Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) is seeking a full-time Neuropsychologist to join
our Neuroscience Center team, located in Tallahassee, Florida. The Neuroscience Center is a multi-disciplinary neurology-focused practice which includes neurology, psychology, social work, speech and occupational therapy, physical and vestibular therapy, nursing, and pharmacy.

This position will offer opportunity to conduct both comprehensive and brief
neuropsychological evaluations for a wide range of needs, with a focus on memory disorders, stroke, Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, migraines, and pain management. 75% of the time will be devoted to the outpatient evaluations, and 25 % to conduct neurocognitive evaluations and consultations to the inpatient population-specifically individuals with Traumatic Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries. Our patients typically fall within the geriatric (60%) and adult (35%) age range, although we also see a minority of children and adolescents (5%).

The position is full-time, salaried, and includes numerous benefits. There is also a yearly stipend for continuing education. The practice provides all necessary office space, furniture, equipment, and testing materials. We have excellent administrative and billing support as well. Minimum qualifications include the following: 1) a doctoral degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or clinical neuropsychology; 2) completion of a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology; and 3) licensure as a psychologist. Board eligibility would be advantageous, however not required.

Our ideal candidate will be a consistent and flexible individual, who enjoys interdisciplinary collaboration. The incumbent may perform other related tasks that are a part of the agency's operation. The ability to function in an environment controlled by HIPAA and CMS regulations is required. This position also offers exciting opportunities to provide supervision to doctoral students enrolled in Clinical and Counseling Psychology PhD programs at Florida State University. Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is a private, not-for-profit health care system serving 17 counties in North Florida and South Georgia. TMH includes a 772-bed acute care hospital and a variety of services to meet health needs across the lifespan.

TMH has an ongoing research partnership with Florida State University. This provides a
unique opportunity to be involved in the most dynamic and all-encompassing medical research program in the state. Besides the possibility of conducting laboratory research, being included in clinical trials with university researchers from the medical school as well as other colleges and departments, the individual in this position may also serve as member of the FSU College of Medicine clinical faculty.
