Job Description Title: Staff Clinical Neuropsychologist

West Neuropsychology, LLC, a growing private practice in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a full time Clinical Neuropsychologist as part of an exciting office expansion.

Description
Patients are referred for a wide range of diagnoses including memory disorders, traumatic brain injury, dementia, mood disorders, etc.
The position would be 50% neuropsychological assessment and 50% clinical intervention/psychotherapy
Opportunities for involvement in clinical training of medical residents as the practice is part of the internal medicine residency geriatric rotation for Princeton Baptist Medical Center (PBMC)

Duties
Provide outpatient neuropsychological assessment, psychological evaluations & clinical intervention services for adult & geriatric patients (Consultative services also provided to a diverse inpatient medical population)
Prepare written reports and provide feedback to patients, family members and clinical staff
Attend staff/team meetings as needed

Qualifications
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology, counseling psychology or clinical neuropsychology from an APA-accredited or CPA-accredited psychology graduate program with at least 2 years of supervised experience in health services is required (i.e. internship/fellowship)
Completion of a formal postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology (training consistent with Houston Conference neuropsychology guidelines)
Board certified or eligible for board certification in clinical neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology
Eligible for licensure in the state of Alabama
Knowledge and experience conducting evidenced-based psychotherapy
Experience working with patients with comorbid medical and mental health conditions
Excellent verbal and written communications skills

This position is ideal for a recent post-doctoral graduate/early career neuropsychologist with an exciting opportunity to develop practice specialty in neuropsychological assessment and intervention in a medical psychology private practice setting
