Position Director of Psychology & Brain Injury

Job Description Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital, located in Wheaton, IL, offers patients a full spectrum of rehabilitation services through our inpatient care, outpatient therapies, physician clinics and subacute sites in locations throughout the greater Chicagoland area. We currently have a full time opening for a Director of Psychology & Brain Injury. The position will be based at the hospital which has 100 acute inpatient rehabilitation beds and 27 Medicare-licensed sub-acute beds for adult and pediatric patients recovering from illness or injury who require intensive therapy to regain their function and independence.

The director is an integral member of Marianjoy's leadership and interdisciplinary care teams and is responsible for the direct supervision of the psychology staff across all levels of care, will act as the Coordinator of the Brain Injury Program, and provide direct patient care.
Responsibilities include:
o Plan, implement and direct the activities of the psychology staff.
o Establish the department's philosophy and vision to advance practice for the staff supervised across all levels of care. Support the provision of services throughout the network.
o Provide assessment and treatment to patients.
o Ensure that policies, procedures, and practices support clinical service, innovation and operational excellence.
o Serve as a liaison between the leadership, physician partners and staff to ensure coordination of brain injury programs across the continuum of care.
o Actively involved with quality and research initiatives supporting the advancement of the practice of psychology and innovation within the brain injury programs.

Education and Experience:
o We are seeking a licensed, PhD, or Psy.D.Neuropsycology with a minimum of 2 years post-doctoral neuropsychological experience.
o Minimum of 1 year in a neurology specialty emphasis on performing neuropsychological evaluations.
o Neuropsychological and psychological assessment and treatment planning experience.
o Licensed as a psychologist or license eligible, in the State of Illinois is required. Board certified via ABPP/ABCN
o Two years of supervisory experience; 3-4 years' experience preferred.
