Position Neuropsychologist position open in beautiful Oregon!
Location Albany, OR
Job Description Join Samaritan Health Services!

The outpatient neuropsychology clinic at Samaritan Health Services in Albany, Oregon, seeks to hire an early to mid-career neuropsychologist to provide comprehensive neuropsychological services. The mid-Willamette Valley offers a great lifestyle of outdoor activities and easy access to the ocean and major metropolitan areas.

This position is for a fellowship-trained neuropsychologist. The ideal candidate will be able to provide assessments for adult and geriatric patients who present with neurological, cognitive and behavioral problems due to a wide range of etiologies. Although the bulk of work will be with outpatient evaluations, experience with cognitive rehabilitation and brief inpatient evaluations is welcomed. Other opportunities include working with sports medicine and concussion clinics as well as medical inpatient units. Although this is primarily a clinical position, research opportunities are also available. Clinical training will be an important part of the job, as Samaritan is starting an internship program and has active practicum rotations with local universities. As such, work with the Graduate Medical Education department may also be negotiated. The position is based in an integrated primary care clinic that houses an internal medicine group and neuropsychology clinic. In the future, it will also include health psychology and clinical social workers. This is a fast-paced clinic that emphasizes efficiency and excellent patient care alongside collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Samaritan also looks to practice new and innovative models, not solely in fee-for-service payment methods.
Candidates must:
o Hold a doctorate in clinical neuropsychology or clinical psychology with a neuropsychology track or sufficient neuropsychology experience from an accredited (APA or CPA) university
o Be licensed or eligible in Oregon
o Have completed a two-year post-doctoral residency in neuropsychology
o Be eligible for board certification in neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP)
o Attain board certification through ABPP in neuropsychology within three years of employment
