Job Summary:

· Provides clinical direction and supervision to a transdisciplinary team in the professional delivery of brain injury rehabilitation services. Provides neuropsychological services and works as a member of the program’s management team. Duties Include:

· Prepares findings, diagnostic impressions, diagnosis, and recommendations. Presents information, written and verbal, to team members, service recipients, family members, payors, and other stakeholders in a manner that is understandable and helpful.

· Conducts individual and group therapy sessions.

· Authorizes designs and implements individualized person-centered therapeutic rehabilitation programs.

· Provides consultation and instruction in rehabilitation techniques to team members, service recipients, family members, payors, and other stakeholders in a manner that is understandable and helpful.

· Training Director of APPIC Program

· Coordinates implementation of treatment strategies developed by treatment team and insures delivery of rehabilitative services.

· Refers service recipients to appropriate internal and external resources.

· Obtains specialized medical/social history through interview or review of clients’ case records; selects and administers assessment and evaluation instruments to determine service recipients’ capabilities and barriers in such areas as attention, concentration, orientation, memory, language, cognition, behavior, mental health.

· Produces accurate and timely clinical, billing, administrative and other documentation as required

· Directs team in selection of constructive activities suited to individual’s physical capacity, intelligence level, and interest to upgrade individual to maximum independence, prepare individual for return to school or employment, assist in restoration of functions, and aid in adjustment to disability.

Instructs, coordinates and supervises professional and paraprofessional staff, interns, students and others as assigned in areas including orientation, documentation, evaluation, and billable hours.

Requirements:

· Neuropsychologist with a Maine State psychologist license, or the ability and qualifications to obtain licensure in the State of Maine within 60 days, and meets one of the following criteria:

Applicant either is board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology-Clinical Neuropsychology (ABPP-CN) OR meets APA Division 40 recommended training requirements and is, therefore, board eligible.
