The UT Southwestern Medical Center Department of Psychiatry, Division of Psychology, is seeking an outstanding clinical neuropsychologist for an Assistant Professor position. The position is primarily clinical with opportunities to participate in research through the O’Donnell Brain institute, Texas Institute for Brain Injury and Repair (TIBIR), and the NIH/NIA-funded Alzheimer’s Disease Center. UT Southwestern is a large, cutting edge medical system, which includes William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital and Zale Lipshy University Hospital as well as Parkland Health and Hospital Systems which is a major teaching hospital and one of the largest public hospital systems in the country.

This position will be located in the Psychology Assessment Service within Parkland Health and Hospital Systems, which features a Level I Trauma Center as well as the second-largest civilian burn center in the country. Responsibilities include provision of outpatient and inpatient clinical neuropsychological assessment and consultation services, therapeutic interventions as needed, supervision of pre- and post-doctoral trainees, and participation in our overall academic mission. Primary patient populations include movement disorders, dementia, multiple sclerosis, brain injury, stroke, and epilepsy, as well as neuropsychiatric presentations and a broad range of complex medical disorders.

We are seeking a candidate who espouses a flexible approach to assessment and is experienced in working with adults with a range of neurocognitive disorders. Requirements include ABPP/CN-eligible postdoctoral training in clinical neuropsychology and eligibility for licensure in Texas. Preference will be given to board certified clinicians experienced with the above patient populations and to Spanish bilingual candidates.
