Position Clinical Psychologist/Pain Psychologist

Job Description The Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia is recruiting for a full-time, outpatient Psychologist to work with pain patients with SCI, ABI, and other neuromedical conditions. The Psychologist should have specialty training in pain management, health/rehabilitation/ medical psychology, and have medical center or hospital experience.

Primary responsibilities include active participation as a member of an interdisciplinary team, and providing comprehensive psychological services for medical patients, which may include assessments, consultations, pre-surgical psychological evaluations, interventions, education, and individual, group and family therapy as needed. The department currently has a large psychology staff with services in spinal cord injury, brain injury, multiple sclerosis, and pain management. The department also trains students and fellows, with mentoring/teaching opportunities available.

Qualifications:
œRequires a PhD or PsyD from an APA-approved program in Clinical Psychology, and successful completion of a one or two-year postdoctoral fellowship/residency, or similar work experience, in a health-related Psychology position
œExperience with working in medical settings and with interdisciplinary treatment teams is preferred
œ Psychologist in the State of Georgia or eligible for licensure in Georgia required
