Position Pediatric Neuropsychologist

Job Description Blythedale Children’s Hospital is seeking is seeking a full-time experienced, qualified pediatric neuropsychologist to join an interdisciplinary team of professionals serving children and adolescents with traumatic and acquired brain injuries. The successful candidate will assume a leadership role on the hospital's brain injury unit including overseeing all aspects of cognitive rehabilitation treatment planning and implementation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge base of dynamic developmental processes and clinical experience in cognitive rehabilitation. A strong ability to collaborate is required to build and sustain partnerships with a specialized team of clinical and support staff representing all disciplines (neurology; pediatrics; physiatry; psychology; physical, occupational, and speech therapy; child life; social work; therapeutic recreation; and our affiliated K-12 school). This position offers an academic appointment at an affiliated university. The qualified professional will be a resource for hospital staff and family education about the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral sequelae associated with brain injury and best practices for working with a brain injured population. Additional opportunities exist for developing an educational curriculum for community schools and institutions.

Blythedale is committed to providing evidence based intervention. The position includes participation in existing outcomes research projects and strong encouragement to initiate future research designed to enhance knowledge and services on the brain injury unit. Preference will be given to professionals who are interested in making a contribution to the brain injury field with published research in the psychological and rehabilitation literature. Candidate must have a PhD/PsyD in neuropsychology or clinical psychology, experience in cognitive rehabilitation, knowledge and clinical experience working with pediatric population, and experience in program development/program management.
