Position Pediatric Neuropsychologist-Neuropsychology - Full Time

Job Description Here at WakeMed, the Pediatric Neuropsychologist will work with a wide range of patients through the children’s hospital and rehabilitation division at WakeMed Health & Hospitals. The Pediatric Neuropsychologist will provide diagnostic assessment and education/behavioral interventions as needed. Diagnostic assessments will include brief inpatient screenings, consultation as well as brief assessments within our day treatment program. Comprehensive outpatient neuropsychological assessments are also a part of the responsibilities of the Pediatric Neuropsychologist. Pediatric patients will be the focus of treatment having a variety of known medical diagnoses such as concussions and traumatic brain injury. In addition, the Pediatric Neuropsychologist will provide ongoing consultation with staff to provide best care for pediatric patients during their hospitalization. The best fit for this position will be a practitioner who will feel comfortable treating young adults in addition to children. The team member also has to have the ability to work autonomously and can manage a large caseload in a fast paced environment.
Qualifications:
· One year of professional experience in a clinical setting preferred.
· Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited university required. Documented training in Clinical Neuropsychology preferred.
· Licensed or license eligible in North Carolina as a Psychologist with Health Service Provider Certification. Medical Staff appointment or has completed medical staff application at WakeMed.

· Full time
· Monday •Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
