Position Inpatient Neurorehabilitation Psychologist

Job Description The Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia is recruiting for a full-time, Inpatient Neurorehabilitation Psychologist to work with patients with patients on our inpatient Spinal Cord Injury Program. The Psychologist should have specialty training in rehabilitation psychology, neuropsychological assessment, and have medical center/hospital, or interdisciplinary treatment team experience.

Primary responsibilities include active interdisciplinary team participation, and providing comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological services for SCI patients, which may include assessments, consultations, pre-surgical evaluations, interventions, education, and individual, group, and family therapy as needed. You will also provide patient and family group training and interventions. The department currently has a large psychology staff with services in spinal cord injury, brain injury, multiple sclerosis, and pain management. The department also trains students and fellows, with mentoring/teaching opportunities available.

Qualifications:
o PhD or PsyD from an APA/CPA-approved program in Clinical Psychology
o APA-accredited internship completion
o Successful completion of a 1 or 2-year postdoctoral fellowship/residency
o Experience with working in medical settings and with interdisciplinary treatment teams is preferred
o Board certified or eligible for board certification in Rehabilitation Psychology or Neuropsychology is preferred
o Eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia
