Job Description Assistant Professor of Psychology - Quantitative

Penn State Harrisburg, School of Behavioral Sciences and Education, invites applications for a tenure-track appointment as an Assistant Professor of Psychology to begin in fall 2019. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in psychology or related field by August 2019 and strong research and teaching skills in quantitative research methods and psychometrics. Preference will be given to candidates with specializations in Industrial-Organizational or Human Factors Research. An active program of research with potential for external funding is expected. Applicants must have a commitment to integrity, diversity, collaboration, and professional service. Responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, maintaining an active research agenda, supervising student research and writing, advising students and offering career guidance, and providing service to the School, College, and University. Teaching responsibilities will include research methods, statistics, and courses related to one's area of specialization. Teaching load is typically 6 courses per academic year, and teaching assignments may require teaching day, evening, and/or weekend classes as needed. The Psychology Program is housed in the division of Social Sciences and Psychology in the School of Behavioral Sciences and Education. We offer a B.S. in Psychology and three graduate degrees leading to an M.A. in Applied Clinical Psychology, Community Psychology and Social Change, and Applied Behavior Analysis. The M.A. in Applied Clinical Psychology prepares students for licensure as Master's level therapists.
