NAN Day on the Hill

Members of the NAN Board and volunteer leaders met with congressional leaders to further establish NAN as content experts to advance an appreciation of what neuropsychology can offer, and to support expansion of telehealth. Our efforts were highly successful and energizing for the organization, and we look forward to sharing additional details soon. 

Highlights in 2023 included: 

Met with APA's Stephen Gillaspy, PhD, Senior Director for the Office of Health Care Financing and Scott Barstow, Director, Congressional Affairs

Met with 19 congressional and senatorial offices (Committees included Ways and Means, Finance, Energy & Commerce, and Health, Education, Labor & Pensions (HELP))

Established NAN as a resource, introduced BrainWise, and discussed increasing access to health care services, funding of psychology trainees and psychologists to be included under the physician definition
